| CFS opens a new state-of-the-art plant in Buehl, Germany | | | |

| The course has been set for the future. Major investments create jobs and have made it possible to set up one of the most modern locations for slicing, loading and packaging systems worldwide. In addition, the other CFS plant in Kempten will be completely modernized for the production of packaging materials. “It is the beginning of a new era,” says Hans Schwaebe, President CFS Buehl. “We will have two modern locations with optimal layout and infrastructures so that we can serve our customers even better, even more flexible in the future.” | | | |

| One company, two locations The opening of the 20,000 square metre plant at the Kempten Buehl-Ost industrial estate is a clear signal underlining CFS’ commitment to the region. After steady growth in the past year, the capacity limit of the previous location in Roemerstrasse was reached.
And in addition to the construction of the new production and administration building in Kempten-Buehl, the location in Roemerstrasse in Kempten will be dedicated to the production of packaging materials.
Hans Schwaebe, President CFS Buehl, looks optimistically into the future: “For all of us a new era begins today. We now have two modern locations with optimal layout and infrastructures so that we can serve our customers even better in the future. I would like to thank the city administration, the general contractor and everyone who contributed to the successful expansion of our company as well as the on-schedule completion of the new building in Kempten-Buehl.”
The result is a quantum leap in efficiency Around 240 employees are involved in the production of peeler, slicer, loading and packaging systems at the Kempten-Buehl location. As further proof of its confidence in the plant, CFS has, moreover, transferred production responsibility for the traysealer to Kempten-Buehl. This has now already led to the hiring of an additional 20 employees. Thanks to the construction of 6,600 m2 of new production area as well as 2,200 m2 of administration and office rooms, all workflows were able to be planned completely and coordinated optimally to each other. “The result is a quantum leap in efficiency,” says Hans Schwaebe – the favorable location in terms of transport directly on the A7 autobahn is also a great advantage.
Investments from which customers and employees profit At the previous location Roemerstrasse in Kempten CFS will now be able to develop the production of packaging materials on an entirely new basis. Here, too, modernisation of the plant will result in an optimal infrastructure in state-of-the-art production facilities. The approximately 230 employees will primarily concentrate on the production of 3D shrinkbags, shrinkpack, as well as the CFS eXbase® and CFS C-base films on PP base.
As CFS is one of the only supplier worldwide for packaging machines as well as packaging materials, Hans Schwaebe, President CFS Buehl, is convinced that the investments in the two Kempten locations Buehl and Roemerstrasse will lead to further growth – growth from which customers, employees and locations alike will benefit in the end.
