Joint project on greenfield site
Built on a 4,300 square metres greenfield site about 120 kilometres from the capital Kiev, the Myronivsky Convenience Food plant has a capacity of 100 tons and can increase to 240 tons per day of packed poultry, pork and red meat products. These are distributed within the Ukraine and marketed under the brand name Legko™.
The plant is the most advanced in the industry and is the result of a joint effort by Myronivsky Hliboproduct and CFS. Two years of close cooperation and teamwork between specialists of both companies resulted in a state-of-the-art facility conforming to European and World standards for construction, safety and hygiene.

Case ready products, Meal components and Ready meals
The project includes CFS equipment for preparation and marination, as well as five customised convenience food production lines: two for case ready, two for meal components and one for ready meals:
One fully automated case ready line is used for processing and packaging of minced meat and burgers under Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP).
The second case ready line produces and packages marinated chicken wings, legs and fillet. This enables Myronivsky to bring on the market the first MAP packed-certified Angus™ beef brand products.
One meal components line is flexible in using innovative as well as traditional processes for fully cooked poultry products. These products are packed in vertical packages or in trays (MAP).
The second meal components line processes coated frozen chicken nuggets, schnitzels, hamburgers and cutlets, packaged into trays.
A ready meals line for the production of different dishes from poultry and red meat.
Specifications for the complete lines were defined jointly, and fully tested at the CFS Technology Centre in Bakel, the Netherlands. CFS’ TrackMax® software system is integrated with Myronivsky’s own ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning).
In addition to delivery, installation and commissioning of the production lines, the contract with CFS also includes the supply of packaging materials, spare parts and service, as well as dedicated operator training.

Official opening
During the official opening ceremony, Yuriy Melnyk, Ukraine's Vice-Prime-Minister said: "Myronivsky convenience food plant is a good example of the effective cooperation between two countries and two major companies. That is why I hope, that it is only the beginning of the cooperation between Ukraine and Netherlands. We will further work together and, thus, develop the economy of both states".
Responding to this, Yuriy Kosyuk, CEO of Myronivsky Hliboproduct, added:
“All European standards were observed while building the Myronivsky convenience food plant, the best Ukrainian and foreign specialists were invited, and state-of-the-art class technologies were used. All this has enabled us to develop and implement our capacities and thus lead our state to the competitive level of the European community”.
