The plan, which is subject to works council, union and governmental ratification, involves an unavoidable reduction of approximately 90 jobs (4% of the total workforce, primarily in indirect functions) worldwide. Redundancies are anticipated at all CFS sites. | | | | | | | | | | | | Eliminating overlap, duplication and complexity Chief Executive Officer Brian McCluskie said, “Although the recession has accelerated the need to gain the financial benefits of restructuring, the plan is primarily being implemented to reduce organizational complexity that already existed in the company. Over the years, CFS has grown via acquisitions, which inevitably led to overlap and duplication. A leaner, more responsive organization is not only better equipped to endure the current economic crisis, but also essential to sustain growth when circumstances return to normal.” | | | | | | | | | | | | For more press information, please contact Peter Verest, Tel. +31 492 349 349, Fax +31 492 349 416, E-mail Peter.Verest@CFS.com | | | | | | | | | | | | CFS Lifecycle Performance CFS specializes in performance-focused solutions for the food industry, from a single machine or packaging material to a complete production line for the preparation, marination, processing, slicing and packaging of primarily meat, poultry, fish, seafood and cheese based products.
