One of our key customers had a special request. They wanted to combine two different functions in one injector. This would allow them to inject products higher than 100 mm using 2 mm needles. I talked to Product Management about this request, but they considered it to be risky. However, I finally managed to convince them to test out the idea in our Technology Centre. The needles were ordered and we carried out several tests with the customer. These tests proved the value of the idea as the injector worked defect-free and was sold on the spot. And because of this new feature, another 5 machines have already been sold.

One of our customers in Belgium experienced a machine breakdown in the middle of the spinach-season, when the machines are running around the clock for 8 weeks. He phoned me one Saturday evening and from talking to him on the phone I was able to work out the cause of the problem. To get the machine running again he needed some parts that were available in Bakel. He proposed to pick them up himself. But to save time I told him that I would take care of that. I immediately called Twan who picked up the parts, filled out the papers and arranged a taxi. The machine was back in production in less than 3 hours after the first call and, needless to say, the customer was very happy!
